Photographed during Aero India 2025 in Bengaluru, the LCA Tejas Mk1 is an indigenously designed and developed 4.5-generation, single-engine multirole fighter serving with the Indian Air Force. Developed by the Aeronautical Development Agency and manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, the Tejas combines a lightweight composite airframe with advanced digital avionics, a quadruplex fly-by-wire flight-control system and a GE F404-IN20 engine, giving it a maximum speed of around Mach 1.6 and the ability to perform air-to-air, air-to-ground and maritime missions.
